Food Much?

UPDATE FROM HAWAII:

The Farrell's commercial that my company put together (E Noa Corporation is owned by Farrell's) made it to television!  And Jewel (brat sister xD) was recognized!  Go Jewel Go!

I was in there too but Jewel's fame was blocking my face >_<

Day 7: Tuesday

View of living room from the stairs........where we spend a good portion of our days......

Woke up at 7:45am to watch the door and wait for Internet man (pending super hero name) after staying up all night talking to family in Hawaii and Idaho.  At about 9:00 am he came!  Man I made that sound so interesting.  The internet is still a little weird but we've been able to watch movies all day (*cough* I mean apply to jobs) without interruption!  So I'm happy......to be applying for jobs......

After we were done "applying for jobs," at about 2:00pm, I made the boyfriend get up and walk with me to Walmart!  I saw a recipe on this blog that my friend Nicole Joe who I met in Spain suggested I check out where I can learn how to make healthy fat food (oxymoron I love it!).  Not kidding, it is called the "Healthy Dessert Blog." I was looking through the recipes and I wanted to find one that was quick and easy to make just because I was doing this so last minute.  Also, the boyfriend wants to actually cook something rather than our usual frozen food dinner where he can literally just put it all in the microwave (although he ALWAYS uses the stove.  Such a good boy.  I love the microwave.  I'm making it a friendship bracelet right now....don't make it weird).  In conclusion, I went with making the crispy baked zucchini fries!

So off we go to Walmart to get the ingredients.  We're genius' so we don't have enough room in our brains to think about trivial things like if his brother already HAS some of the ingredients (Resume boost: Doesn't sweat the small stuff). Therefore, we had to buy every single ingredient.

I always get the best deal with "Great Value." What. A. Coincidence.

When we get back to the house, I decided that this should be another supervising experience for me since the boyfriend DOES want to improve his cooking skills........basically a win-win situation with me supervising and him cooking.  I'm sure he sees it the same way and enjoyed my critiques of his cooking skills.  Oh and on a completely different subject, tonight I'm sleeping on the couch.....

OMGAH ZUCCHINI!!!

See I helped!  And it was the best one too!  Actually they were alright but I think it is better for people that actually like zucchini.  I can tolerate zucchini because it essentially has no taste but only if I can mask the taste.  The breading and baking of the zucchini did not mask the taste of it enough for me to love the recipe but it will definitely be fun to nibble on later.  Only 35 calories per serving woot woot!  SOOOO MUCH FUN TO MAKE though.  I love breading things :)

Finished product
Hahaha had it with a burrito....couldn't convince boyfriend to make me noodles!!!
Trying one of the cookie desserts tomorrow though because I am in love with cookies (Don't worry microwave, my love for you is still strong) and I would love to find a healthier way to eat them.

Have a good night!

Day 8: Wednesday

It was not a good night.
Lately, I have been having issues with our memory foam bed.  I HATE it.  I need something more sturdy....like a hard rock!!  I'm like a sloth. My ideal bed is a hard rock with me sprawled across it.

Soooo lucky!  Sid, I want to join you!
Biggest plans of the day was making the healthy cookie but gotta keep our energy up for our job hunt!  So the boyfriend so nicely made me breakfast of eggs, lots of cheese, ham, grapes, and toast and jelly.

He's so nice to me, it was soooooooooooo good, I LOVE EGGS!!!!!!!!  Especially when cheese is dumped on it.  Not hard to guess what the next thing we did was.........the title just gives it away...........

LUNCH!!!!!!

He totally made that pizza from scratch by the way.........

He just said that someone named "Red Baron" helped him?  I did not supervise him this time as I was...doing something productive I'm sure.

A little bit later, we decided it was time to make our cookie dessert!!!  Had already purchased all the ingredients we need to make her Deep-Dish Cookie Pie the day before so we were ready to go!

As per usual, my boyfriend started the cooking and I took the opportunity to provide photo and video support.  Below is where we "cut the beans." AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh wait, the expression is "cut the cheese".............oh well, here's some photos:

Recipe called for one cup chocolate chips........we dumped the entire bag in :D  Hope the recipe is still considered "healthy!!!"

YUMMY!!!!  Doesn't look like a pie in the bowl but we tried :)
The boyfriend and I really did enjoy it.  It tasted very similar to an actual, completely unhealthy cookie pie but I could taste......(well I guess FEEL is a better word).....the oatmeal so that was slightly weird.  Texture is very important to me when I eat.  As we always do when we have food leftover, we tell the boyfriend's brother he may have some when he comes home.  He comes home at 10:00pm (two hours EARLIER than usual) and tries it at some point.  We ask him if he tried some and he says that he doesn't like it haha So I suggest trying this recipe if you are INTENDING to be healthy.  If not, well, you WILL be able to tell the difference and you may not be happy.  Or you can dump a bunch of chocolate chips in it and put ice cream on the side (I don't feel bad, it was low-fat) and it most likely will taste exactly like a cookie :D

Day 9: Thursday

Not gonna lie......had a slice of cookie pie this morning :D

It's ok though!  Went for an hour and half, excruciatingly hot, horrifying, never ending, never-going-to-do-it-again, not very pleasing, lost 25 pounds, unforgettable, death-defying (not really) walk right afterwards to work it off.  After I get up and get ready for......well nothing except applying for jobs....the boyfriend says, "Hey wanna walk to Kohls??  It's only a 40 minute walk away!!!"  By the way, 40 minute walk means 3 hills and an order of heat stroke.  I don't know how many degrees it is here......(wait lemme Google it.......nah too much effort.....ok fine I think it was 80 degrees?......yeah no, too much effort.  Lemme go back to my previous statement).......I don't know many degrees it is here, but being outside anytime after 11 is WAY TOO HOT.  So we left at 11 to go for a walk.........

And we saw our first mountain lion!!!

Ferocious isn't it?
Unfortunately, this isn't Hawaii and we are not allowed to pet the mountain lions here.  They might have rabies!!! Also, they do not exist in Hawaii.  We refuse their existence.

Prettiest thing I could see on the walk
After what only felt like 92098450452049520945092 hours later, we arrived at Kohls and I promptly found a seat and proceeded to put my head between my legs.  Upon not passing out or accidentally emptying my stomach on Kohls' floor (probably would've had to buy something if I did that.  *Phew* Saved myself money!! woohoo!) I looked at their shoes and had a little buyers remorse.  Found shoes that would've worked as well and are probably better than the ones I actually bought a few days ago.  Then I realized the sweat and the tears, and the fact that they were $5 more and I'm a cheapo made me realize that I really had gotten the best shoes.  So I walked out of there with sweat soaked pride!

Boyfriend at Kohls
Right afterwards, we went to Subway to continue cooling off and eat since I had a gift card (Thanks Davilin!).  It was magical!!!  They actually HAVE $5 footlongs here!  In Hawaii it's like: 5 DOLLAR...5 DOLLAR......5 DOLLAR FOOT LOOOOOOONGexceptforinHawaii,whereit's6dollaaaaaaaaars.  Sounds much better when I say it in person.  Anyways, here they have a deal that they don't have in Hawaii that's kind of like their breakfast deal: Purchase a 6 inch and a soda for $4.  We each ordered that and the boyfriend added chips for a dollar, coming to a total of $9.and something.

Boyfriend wearing his smarticles <3
My drink was sprite but I decided to refill it with water for the walk home.  Didn't want to hold it though so I came up with an ingenious plan!  Turns out my purse has a cup holder!

Here it is!
So instead of holding my water, I got to let my purse (that I was holding) hold my water!  See how I avoid holding it myself?  Genius.  Just genius.  Resume boost: Innovator!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also moonlight as a watering hole ^_^
Well after we got back, there wasn't much we felt like doing after that walk so we really just applied for jobs, watched TV, and ate random things we found in the fridge (I REALLY need to find a scale.  I am definitely getting fat.......If I get one, I'll post my weight so it can be public to everyone....oh wait, no, I'm a girl....I will be keeping it a secret and giving anyone who asks about it a dirty glare).

Until next time........
