The Weekend....and Monday

So I wanted to wait to post until I had some interesting stuff to talk about it.....and then I realized that that was never going to happen (just kidding, I'm FABULOUS), so here I will continue my tale about a girl and a boy who move to a big city to look for jobs and eat Mexican food......(seriously, there are SO MANY Mexican restaurants here of course.  I'm literally in heaven.)

Day 4: Saturday

At this point, we've just about done everything one can do with four legs (us being two people with two legs each unless my boyfriend is secretly an octopus and fights crime at night as Octoboy....man sorry, we are adults now!  I wonder what my mommy is doing......).  So we were like HEY! Let's go to Costco! That's something new!.......and buy nothing because what can we buy that is small enough for us to carry home comfortably?  Everything is in bulk!  We contemplated momentarily borrowing forever (Don't I just have a way with words?  I'm going to make sure I include that in my cover letter. Then I'm going to eat cookies) a shopping cart but we decided against it.  That's ok though, I really just wanted to go for the cheap and awesome food :)

He got a drink and hotdog combo yum yum
Here is the "food" I bought :D
Right after Costco we went to Walmart because leaving the house without going to Walmart is just poppycock.  Balderdash.  Loco Moco.  They have everything there.  What if I didn't go there and when I got home I realize that I really REALLY needed a $45 AniMagic Honey Pony?  It's just so cute!:

I might go back to Walmart right now just for that.
So I am totally full of it because what did that trip end up costing me?  $40 for a 3DS game >_<

You know you're a grown-up when this is the game your boyfriend buys
A little background information: My boyfriend is used to having a job and buying whatever he wants, when he wants.  I am used to having a job and saving and saving and saving and living without anything that is not a necessity.  Simply stated: what he considers a "need" is VERY different than what I consider a need and his "needs" are always expensive.  Note to self: boys are expensive.  Have girls if you can.  Basically this story is "When cheap-o met Spends all his money-o."

Next adventure, it was time to take the boyfriend on a 4 hour shopping trip.  Yep, I'm a giver (Look out future employers, my resume is bursting with star qualities).  I really needed pants and shoes for my interview so we went on a hunt for them.  It's weird, here in Corona, on one side it's like everything you need to decorate your house and nails and hair and on the other side, there is food and clothing shops.  OF COURSE the ones I need are the further ones....although I need the closer shops too so.....words that make sense........
Here I am in......store.....I forgot to record the name...but later I went to Ross Dress for Less!  It is always good to visit stores that one is accustomed to that way one does not branch out and try new things.  This is why when I studied abroad in Spain and when I lived in Hawaii, I only ate American food.  Because I am a real American.  AMERICA!!

Do I even need to say resume boost?
(This rant was actually a shout out to E Noa Corporation.  HOLLA!)
(Read that part out loud to the boyfriend and he thought I had actually written that for a cover letter xD)

So now seriously, here I am in dressing room of store....

The pants I bought.  The rest was just for funsies :)
This is around hour 4 when I had yet to find closed-toe black shoes that fit comfortably in the millions of stores we looked in.  The boyfriend had had enough xD

"How about these shoes??" Closed eyes and sighs "They're nice."
"Seriously boyfriend?  Do you really like them?!?!?!?!?"
*sigh* "YES."
"Boyfriend seriously I need to know if you really like them.  I need you to be excited!!!"
"Ariale we've been shopping for 4 hours and I'm bored.  I can no longer muster up any more excitement."
"BUT I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU LIKE THEM!!!!!!!!"

Thankfully, I am an independent girl and I don't need anyone's approval (Resume boost: Am independent and can make decisions on tough choices) so I chose these shoes:

These ones!  DO YOU LIKE THEM?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!??!?!!?!?!?
They're shiny :D  That was really all that was important.  But seriously, these were the ONLY black shoes that had heels and didn't make me look as though I was attempting to defend myself with the pointiness of my shoes so........SALE!  Even though our drawers are bursting with 3 suitcases worth of the boyfriend's clothes, officially spilling into my half of the drawers, I agreed to go to the men's side and have a look at clothes with the boyfriend so he could have some joy (See?  I AM a giver!).

Anyways, I reread all of that and it made me seem really valley girlish, which for those readers who know me, know I'm not like that but if I have readers that don't know me, they probably stopped reading after the first line of this rant.  Please be assured that my intelligence resumes on Sunday.........or does it.......?

Day 5: Sunday
The boyfriend's Grandma's house

So I wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy and I'm getting ready and the boyfriend says "Hey Ariale, wanna go to my Grandma's house in an hour?"  Yeah sure boyfriend, let me just go completely change into my best outfit, drop a few pounds, and change my personality.  Been with the boyfriend for 6 and a half years but I still need Grandma's approval.  Not sure if that's normal or not but hey....when have I (emphasis on this letter, which I can't show through all caps due to the fact that it is supposed to be capitalized.  I hope the italicization is sufficient) ever done normal?  I strayed from normal in the middle of the previous sentence.

It was the boyfriend's brother's day off officially making it the FIRST day he spent time with us.  He drove us to their Grandma's house and I rode in the back.  Below is my fantastic view of the back:

See how I effectively used the Rule of Thirds by making sure my entire photo is in the bottom third?
#misusingterms #thatisnotwhattheruleofthirdsis #yesIknowwhattheruleofthirdsis #hashtagsareforTwitter&Instagram #CanyouevenPUTanampersandinahashtag? Seriously, I know I misused the Rule of Thirds.....
Oh yeah.
His Grandma's house was super nice and Grandma-y.....as in: the house contained a grandma.  She was super nice too.  She had us eat pizza.  I like pizza. She also has a bird that is TWENTY-ONE years old, making it ONE year younger than me.  And it tried to bite me.  How about some respect bird?  I'm a year older than you. WIN. Resume boost: I command respect when I walk into the room.

The Grandma and the Man who houses us :)
The boyfriend's Grandma also has a garden going on full of fruits!  I'm not really sure of all the ones she has besides oranges, tangaloes (sp?), lemons, and tomatoes.....hmmm I think I actually basically named them all minus maybe one.

Juiciest fruit you ever did taste.  I also got to see a really cute family picture with the boyfriend as a baby.  There aren't that many pictures of him as a baby so it was nice to see this one:

There he is!!!  So gosh darn cute <3
Well after Grandma's house, it was obvious that we needed to go to In-N-Out Burger...at least it was to my boyfriend.  I'm not even sure if I've been there but it was pretty cool! Like it was right out of a movie.  I'm sure that was the point.  Anyways, we're in the drive thru and the boyfriend gets the a number two, his brother wants a number two, and apparently they were all out of JUST cheeseburgers because I ask for a cheeseburger (being my cheap self) and all of the sudden I am eating a number two as well (wow so that sounded kind of gross.  A little potty humor xD) which is a cheeseburger, a soda, and fries.

Me being a creeper in the back ^_^

I think we really got our money's worth out of that, we got a lot of good food.  We followed that up with a trip to the movies.  It was either watching "The Internship" or "Now You See Me."  Although the preferred was "Now You See Me," we watched "The Internship" because we got there at 4:00pm and the movie started at 4:35pm.  $10.75 EACH WITH MILITARY DISCOUNT!!!  Omgoodness we are not in Kansas anymore.  So after I had my mid-afternoon cry over the price, we got popcorn, a drink, those cookie dough bites!  Yeah seriously, why?  I don't know, we just had a mountain of food.  Soon I won't even be showing pictures anymore because we will just be round and ain't nobody wanna see that.  Our story continues....
Box Office
Lobby & Concessions
My review of "The Internship:" Well to start off with, I'm not a fan of Vince Vaughn.  I do not find him very funny and this is why we preferred "Now You See Me."  Although we did not find the movie very funny with only a few laughs throughout the entire movie, we did find it very interesting because I actually really really want to work with Google.  I unfortunately did not start looking up internships with them until it was too late and it seems that they have no entry level positions so I'll need to get experience before I will be able to apply there.  But getting a good look of Google that I could actually go and see was pretty cool.

The outside of the theatre is beautiful!!  There is a nice fountain and everything.  Not much more I can say....
*le gasp* REGAL!  Sorry Consolidated, I am a Regal person now :/

Pretty fountain I was talking about!
The ride home was a little bit better than the ride there as I was able to get much better photos:

Brothers!  Best I was gonna get.  No way was he actually going to pose for me xD
We finally got home and we were soooo tired.  I had to clean our room though because I LITERALLY put on 12 outfits in the morning (hmmm only 2 more than usual.  I'm so proud of me).  I had 2 interviews on Monday so I had to study.  Boyfriend had to figure out how to use the printer that I guess his brother has never used and it took them 2 hours.....that was waaaaay to boring to supervise so I guess I do have some limitations when it comes to supervising.  Well I guess that will be my answer to weaknesses but with all my strengths, I know I'll pull through!

Day 6: Monday

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: While researching the jobs the night before, I felt really uncomfortable about the jobs I was going to interview for.  The first one's website looked legit but then I found another website with the exact same layout and words with the only difference being the company name.  So I cancelled that interview.......the next one I felt bad about cancelling and I really probably should've gone.  The reason why I cancelled it however was because I realized it was a sales job and I do not want to be in sales.  Most likely I will have to do some sales so I regret not going to the interview.  I was just so afraid of a possible scam that I just cancelled it instead of giving it a chance.  All the jobs I have applied for since then, I've been sure are legit however so I will not have to worry and blow a sure thing.

The rest of the day, we have been applying to jobs.  The boyfriend swears he has applied for 20 jobs today. I applied for a lot that I feel would be perfect for me.  Holding onto the dream while I can!  At least for 2 weeks and then we are going to have to start getting realistic.  We can't take anymore time without jobs!  It's not normal for us!

The boyfriend was so cute though, he made me dinner :)  I came down to be with him (we're being adorable right now, we can't be in a different room without each other so we follow each other everywhere) and he shooed me back up the stairs so that he could make me a special dinner awwwwwwww

He made me Quesadillas, Apples, and Garlic Pasta with Vegetables and brought me water!  It was so fantastic since he knows how much I love quesadillas and those apples are sooooo good!  He really takes care of me ^_^

That's all that was interesting on Monday so I will conclude here.  Tomorrow we will be sitting on our butts waiting for the internet man (super hero?  Only time will tell........) to come and fix our internet that keeps going in and out and for the phone to ring.  Find out tomorrow: Did anyone call?  Tune in tomorrow and find out! (This is my call to action.  Hope that was clear.  I said it, therefore my audience must do it.)

Good night :)
